Assignment 3 Nicole Griffin Interactive X-Ray Media Wall

My prototype concept involves using the interactive media wall to display X-rays more effectively. Medical professionals like “Dr.Ted” would be able to get a better idea of what was going on inside their patients body by looking at one interactive picture rather than a series of small, static, 2D photos. The doctors would take special X-rays, if technology allows, and load them into the interactive media wall. Using the Xbox Kinect technology on the wall, Dr.Ted would be able to navigate around the X-ray almost as if he shrunk himself down as was actually inside the patients body. This would allow him to make a more accurate diagnosis of what was wrong with the patient and provide the exact medical care that they require. This tech could also be used for training purposes while students are still in med school this tech could be used throughout the medical field and maybe even in veterinary care.
Once upon a time there was a doctor named Dr.Ted. Dr.Ted was the top of his class at med school, acing every test about human anatomy.
Every day patients would come into his office after getting into accidents and hurting themselves.
One day a patient came in after a horrific motorcycle accident and had dozens of little fractures in his collarbone, chest and pelvis. There were so many small cracks it was hard to distinguish them on an average X-ray. He tried attaching several X-rays together but he still couldn’t see all of the factures properly.
Because of that Dr. Ted tried taking a 180 degree X-ray so he could get a more complete picture but still couldn’t see all of the fractures properly
Because of that he became frustrated that he couldn’t give the patient the medical care he/she deserved
Until finally Dr.Ted loaded the X-rays into the interactive media wall to form one big interactive picture of what was going on inside his patients body. He used his arms to navigate round and his hands to zoom in and out. He finally was able to make a complete diagnosis and treat the patient in the best way he could.
