Assignment 6 – Voll

Last week, the Scotland citizens cast an historic vote to decide the future of the country’s status as a member of the United Kingdom. In a shining display of democracy, 84.6% of eligible voters, or more than 3.6 million people, turned out to their local polling places to vote for or against the country’s independence. Of the 32 council areas, only four voted in favor of the referendum, but the support for independence was still strong, taking 45% of the vote. This chart breaks down the vote by each council area:
