January 25, 2015
Though the US has seen steady and significant wind energy production growth, growth could potentially taper off due to recent developments in oil prices. Renewable energy industries typically flounder when the price of oil and gas is low because they cannot compete as easily. But, if the past eight years show anything, they show that alternative energy production can grow even through a recession. If wind energy follows projections, it could be the leading renewable energy in the US by 2018.
