in 2007, I helped launch a nonprofit in Uganda which provides water to people in need. This map shows areas where less than 50% of the population has access to clean water. Anything in the desert-yellow color indicates less than 20%. There was a surprising amount of data collected by the local water authorities on access to water. We used their information in planning projects to the neediest areas.
