Chart with original data:

Snow depth in Syracuse, NY from 2012-2015.

This chart visualizes the snow depths of Syracuse, NY specifically over the fall and winter months. In a region often described as a “tundra” by residents, this spline chart (or curved line graph) visualizes each year and month to give readers a better look at when the depths were at the highest and lowest. It is important to note in the Winter of 2012-2013, the highest snow depths were measured in late December and early January while in the Winter of 2014-2015 it was late February and early March. The visualization also shows 2013-2014 to be milder than the years in between.

All data was gathered from the National Weather Service at: http://w2.weather.gov/climate/xmacis.php?wfo=bgm Snow depth is measured in inches.
